Lollagram utilizes the Instagram API to create a unique experience for music fans. The site aggregated photos with the hashtag #Lollapalooza or #Lolla. The result gave fans a dynamic look into the music festival (without HAVING to be in Chicago). The website was fully responsive and updated in real-time.
What we discovered was a unique narrative told through festival goers’ smartphones. In 2012, a huge thunderstorm stuck during the festival. Lollagram provided a real time look into where all of the people were hiding and taking cover.
